Vino Nobile di Montepulciano
docg toscana

vinification and aging

This Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG Toscana is produced and aged in the heart of the production area, the municipality of Montepulciano, from vineyards located in countryside rich in history and tradition. The origin of Vino Nobile dates back to the 17th century, when it was called “the king of Tuscan wines.” Certainly drunk and appreciated by the aristocracy (hence the name), this wine has maintained its fame to this day. Over the past 20 years, the Castellani Family has taken part in the renewal of the excellence of this wine.

Winemaking is done by traditional methods: ripe grapes are harvested immediately-pressed. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature with prolonged maceration on the skins. The minimum aging period is 24 months. Due to its strong character, this wine has great aging potential.
