One of the great estates of the Castellani family.

“Ceppaiano wines are Bibendum’s joint venture with Castellani, and this is a very personal project for Piergiorgio. The new Ceppaiano building is a work of art itself and will house a permanent collection of paintings and sculture. Toscana Alle Viole - Ceppaiano
Alle Viole is a penetrating blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet and Merlot with an extra oak element that comes off as spice, campfire and smoked bacon. At the center of this wine, however, is a solid base of red fruit that recalls cherry and blackberry. The wine is fresh and tonic but full and generous at the same time.

Selezione Violetta - Ceppaiano

Here is a linear and feminine 90-10 blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon with aromas of pressed rose, fresh blueberry, cherry cola and chalky white mineral. The wine tastes clean and polished in the mouth and ends with very elegant shadings of berry fruit.

2 Bicchieri Gambero Rosso

Chianti - Antica Cantina Ceppaiano

Here’s an approachable and easygoing Chianti with fresh aromas of wild berry, cherry and black pepper. The wine offers an informal approach with plush, chewy spice flavors.

Castellani recommends...

  • Bianco Toscana IGT - Ceppaiano

Intensively aromatic wine with floral notes accompanied by the taste of litchi fruits, typically associated to the Traminer grape. A wine with excellent structure, soft and creamy, suitable for long ageing in bottle.

  • Chianti DOCG - Ceppaiano

Vivacious ruby red colour tending to garnet with ageing. Intense and characteristic bouquet, fruity with a violet fragrance and a slight hint of cherries. Dry, balanced and sapid, lightly tannic which turns into velvety softness.
