Appellation: Frascati DOC
Grapes: 50% Malvasia Bianca di Candia, 30% Malvasia del Lazio, 20% Trebbiano Toscano
Vinification and refinement
Our Frascati is selected from vineyards located in the heart of the hills of Albano (south of Rome). The grapes that compose the blend of this classic DOC come from vines cultivated on special volcanic soil. The clean product is filtered and fermented at 16-18° C. When fermentation is perfect the wine is stored underground in tanks at a constant low temperature before bottling.
Colour: Light straw yellow.
Bouquet: Fresh and fruity with tropical overtones of melon, citrus and grapefruit.
Taste: Wonderful floral intensity, very elegant, soft with hints of hazelnuts to the finish.
Perfect companion of fish courses, grilled Salmon and appetizers. Serve chilled. Will shine alongside a good "carbonara" or "cacio e pepe" pasta.
The name “Frascati” comes from the ancient tradition of the hanging a leafy branch of tree (dialect Frasca) outside the traditional osterie indicating the period during which the producer could sell its wine production – as long as the leaves were green and abundant.
