This wine is produced from Ciliegiolo (cee-lee-a-jo-low aka “cherrygrape”) grapes grown in the low-yielding organic vineyard of the Tenuta Santa Lucia on coastal Tuscany near Pisa. Deep ruby red in colour. Rich spicy perfumes and black pepper notes with a hint of raisins. Full body balanced taste, very intense and spicy with sweet cherry flavours.

Today this type of vine created in 1885, almost disappeared, thanks to a research of Castellani lasted more than 15 years in collaboration with the University of Pisa, began to grow in Poggio al Casone hills. The Poggio al Casone vineyard is located on the first hills overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea in the municipality of Crespina, an ancient castle in the province of Pisa. In the heart of the vineyards are located the main villa and the old houses built during the Leopoldina era (circa 1800) and recently restored respecting their history, now set of the wine experimentation centre of the Castellani Family and of a renowned resort farmhouse.
Arbos is an higher quality of Sangiovese "in purezza" produced on hilly vineyards sloping down to the sea and partially aged in barriques. Ruby red colour with garnet reflections. Elegant and fruity bouquet with hints of pepper and wild cherry. Full bodied, round and perfumed, easy to drink.
