  • Letters to Extra Pontem

Integration, preservation of the historical memory of the districts with a careful look at the community evolution

It is certainly not something new the special focus on culture by the company. So the decision to sponsor the event-show "Lettere a Extra Pontem" tied to the concept of territorial identity. We offered a tasting of our "Santa Lucia Toscano", an organic wine that particularly stands out thanks to an innovative and "sustainable" packaging. Itself product with a strong bond with the territory.

"Lettere a Extra Pontem" is a choral performance of the district "fuori del ponte" aimed to combine the realities present in the city's social environment (October 10 to 12 2014 at Pontedera Teatro Era). A final act of the project called "Extra Pontem", which began in October 2013 through workshops for students and young people, through interviews, concerts, lectures and meetings with groups and associations, to build a network of new relationships between the theater and the district where it is located, to bring out stories that enhance relationships and accentuate the sense of belonging and identity. Integral part of the project is the photographic work of Simone Rocchi titled "Faces of a neighborhood" exhibited in the courtyard of the Teatro Era.

Project of Comune di Pontedera, created and produced by Fondazione Pontedera Teatro with the contribution of Regione Toscana. Artistic direction of Anna Stigsgaard.

  • Eva & il Lupo

A sound journey for the poetess and the musician.

Once again the name Castellani binds to a cultural project. In this case, the company has co-produced a fascinating musical work created by the collaboration between the writer-painter-actress Eva Malacarne and musician Andrea Lupo Lupi. "Eva & il Lupo", this is the name, is in fact an album out of the ordinary because it combines poetry and music in an absolutely original and unusual way mixing with taste and technical capacity many styles and rhythms.

It ranges between reggae and rock, pizzica and flamenco, latin jazz and country, reaching even folk sounds. Beautiful and important lyrics sung mostly in Italian but not only, some of them in English, Spanish and Portuguese. 13 tracks where the depth of the texts of Eva combines perfectly with the intensity of music composed by Lupo and arranged by both. To give even more depth to the project is the musical execution; lively, engaging and sophisticated of the musical ensemble 4 Venti, Roberto Molesti (piano, organ and accordion), Alessandro Criscino (drums) and Mimmo Mollica (harmonics).

The album will be presented Saturday, December 7, 2013 at the Teatro delle Sfide of Bientina (PI) and on this occasion there will be a special tasting of semi-wild pork sausage, pleasantly accompanied by the Ceppaiano wines.

Tenuta di Ceppaiano

The Ceppaiano Estate was born in 2005. Initially conceived as an extension of the Poggio al Casone vineyards and location of the new winery, it afterwards becomes an independent estate as a result of subsequent land acquisitions that differ from those of Poggio al Casone for the prevalence of alluvial sands arranged on foothill heights overlooking the coast.

Focus on : Wine

Vernaccia di San Gimignano DOCG - Castellani

The wine is produced exclusively in the territory of the Medieval town of San Gimignano, nearby Siena. Colour, delicate straw yellow tending to a warm golden colour with ageing. Characteristic bouquet, elegant and persistent. Taste, dry, and harmonious with a slight almond finish.

Castellani supports the project "La Stazione"

What is the value of a memory? And if the memories of more people are added together to build a story? How beautiful and fascinating can be to save and pass on the memories related to the past and present history of a district? For us of the Castellani is really important.... then if these concepts become the soul of an initiative on a city district, how could we not be supportive?
